About Our Cause
Turning environmental data into actionable insight
NorCal Conservation is dedicated to wetlands conservation, mapping, and ecosystem preservation. Our platform showcases maps, videos, and wildlife photographs to raise awareness and combat climate change. We work to support professional researchers by providing volunteer Drone Survey, mapping services. We also cater to students, amateur researchers, and wildlife enthusiasts, offering a blog supporting wetlands conservation. Ultimately, we empower Bay Area students to research, advocate, and develop policy solutions that address the impacts of urbanization on local biodiversity, while highlighting and promoting the mental health benefits of land conservation.
OUR INITIATIVES
Wetlands Research & Resilence
We study ecological change and flood vulnerability across Bay Area wetlands using field observations, aerial imagery, and spatial analysis. Our goal is to create repeatable, low-cost approaches that can support long-term monitoring and restoration planning.
UAS & Orthomosaic Mapping
Drone imagery is processed into high-resolution orthomosaics, 3D spatial models, and environmental datasets that help reveal patterns in vegetation, land cover, and coastal change. Our mapping projects provide a detailed view of landscapes that can be difficult to capture through ground surveys alone.
Wildlife Photography
Preserving ecosystems is vital to maintaining ecological balance and biodiversity. Our initiatives aim to protect and restore fragile ecosystems, ensuring a sustainable future for all living organisms. We catalogued wildlife photographs captured over years.
